afternoon scotts pass snowshoe prior to the lodge event

We will do a slow-paced snowshoe for a couple hours in upper Big Cottonwood Canyon to Scotts Pass, before heading over to the WMCF Lodge Social/Dinner. If you need to have your own car at the lodge that evening, meet at 1:30 PM at the Guardsman's Pass winter gate above Brighton. If you can carpool, that would work best, as parking will be limited at the winter gate, and nonexistent at Brighton until later in the afternoon. To carpool, meet at the 6200 S Park and Ride at 12:45. We can see who is staying just for the evening dinner, and who is planning on staying overnight, and carpool accordingly, leaving at 1:00 to the trailhead parking by 1:30 pm.
Remember to bring money, delicious beverages, and a side dish for socializing and dinner at the lodge afterwards, and if you are also planning on staying overnight at the lodge, you must register beforehand, as I understand most beds are already reserved. See the announcement on the social, dinner, and overnighter in that event description.
