Mission Statement: The WMC Conservation Chair is dedicated to enhancing the wild and natural qualities of the State of Utah. The goal is to continuously improve the quality of the outdoor experience for its members through preservation of wild lands and to preserve access to these lands.

Utah Backcountry Volunteers is Utah's newest nonprofit service organization. Their mission is to partner with public land management agencies in Utah by leading volunteers on work service trips. They partner with agencies such as the Bureau of Land Management, National Forest Service, and National Park Service to identify on-the-ground projects and needs, then actively recruit, organize, and lead volunteers on service trips that restore, repair and maintain our public lands.
