canoe boating jordan river paddle - August 23, 2007
Discover the hdden beauty of the Jordan River away from the city sights and sounds (except at bridges). This is a flat water trip. Canoes, kayaks and inflatables are welcome. Spare equipment may be available and rentals can be gotten at REI and Sid's. A nice way to unwind after a busy day at work. We are usually off the river between 8 and 9 PM. The put-in is at Confluence Ave. One way to get to the put-in is from I-15 go west on 4500 S, then north on 500 W, then west on Confluence. Wander west through some parking lots to the river bank. The take-out is just south of Hwy 201. One way to get to the take-out is from Redwood Road go east on 2320 South.This street ends in a cul-de-sac and a small park.
