backpack hike mt. emmons in the uintas - July 21, 2007
Mt. Emmons is the 4th highest peak in Utah, in the Uinta Mountains south of Kings Peak. We'll pack in 9 miles along Swift Creek to East Timothy Lake and use it as a base camp to visit Mt. Emmons and other thirteeners around the Timothy Lakes basin. This trip is exploratory; you can expect some stream crossings with full packs, and a little scrambling on the day hikes.
