boating training - paddling 101 - April 10, 2008
The WMC offers COVID conscious opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Participants of all in-person events should bring and wear face coverings, expect social distancing, and changes to our usual practices. To support contact tracing and hands-free signing of the WMC Liability Waiver, online registration is required for all in person WMC events.Once again the fabulous Gene Dennis has agreed to teach paddling techniques. Gene's class is a must for beginners and a wonderful refresher on effective paddling for those with more experience in canoes, duckies or paddle raft. This listing is for the classroom session, which will be followed on Saturday, 4/12, by a lab session on a local lake. You will need to supply your own canoe which can be rented at REI or the UofU among other places. You can reserve a ducky from the WMC by contacting Bret Mathews at email@example.com.
