boating jordan river, lehi to diversion dam - June 29, 2008

We will paddle another pretty, wide, toally flat section of the Jordan River from Lehi to the diversion dam near Fort Williams. It is appropriate for all types of boats. No experience necessary. Put in and take out will depend on if we can find a take out near the diversion dam. If not, we will paddle to the dam and back. We have done it before and its not difficult. Bring lunch or a snack. Canoes and kayaks can be rented from Sidsports (261-0300) or REI. DIRECTIONS: Sunday, June 29 we will paddle the Jordan River from Willow Park where we took out the last trip, and paddle up to the diversion dam near Fort Williams. We will then turn around and paddle back. It's and easy paddle but a full day. The drive is about 45 minutes from Salt Lake City. Take I-15 South to exit 279, Route 73. Turn right, west, on Route 73, also Main Street. Go around and straight through a traffic circle in Lehi. Go about 2 miles and turn right into Willow Park.
