hike lone peak hike - October 3, 2008
Anyone ready for a hike up Lone Peak? I am leading a group up there on Friday, October 10th. This IS an all day hike - 13 hours! and an EXT. A very beautiful hike where we'll be ascending 6,000 vertical feet. We'll meet at the Bell Canyon Trailhead at 6AM, but going up at Big Willow. This will probably be the last chance to do Lone Peak this year. We will be ascending an almost never used old mule trail. (The trail was built for the mules when the Bell Canyon Reservoir was being built). Once we're on top we'll rest while eating lunch and then descend down to the reservoir and on down through Bells Canyon. PLEASE CALL ME, Chuck James @ 209-0725 if your interested. This is not a hike for beginners, it is a tough one, and all day. But if you want to come and turn around after going up Big Willow your welcome to join us.
