backpack hike hiking and fishing the wind river range - August 15, 2009
Fishing optional. We will make a loop trip between the Boulder Lake and Scab Creek trail heads. We will be hiking to many lakes to enjoy the scenery and fishing. The Wind River lakes offer fantastic fishing for Cutthroat and Brook trout. We will drive up Friday afternoon, though some might like to drive up very early Saturday morning. We will hike in on Saturday, and hike out the following Saturday. We will camp at four different lakes (Christina, Valley, Bob's, and Little Divide) and do some day hikes from the camps to lakes like the Europe Lakes, Halls Lake, and Middle Fork Lake. Some lakes require off-trail hiking. Call or e-mail with questions or to register.
