day hike lone peak - June 27, 2009
The WMC offers COVID conscious opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Participants of all in-person events should bring and wear face coverings, expect social distancing, and changes to our usual practices. To support contact tracing and hands-free signing of the WMC Liability Waiver, online registration is required for all in person WMC events.Come join Chuck for an incredible hike up the seldom used "Old Mule Trail." The group will hike up the west side through Big and Little Willow Canyons, up the north face snow pack, ascend Lone Peak, then drop down the east side across the upper Bells Canyon boulder field to the upper reservoir and down Bells Canyon. Plan 12 to 14 hours of hiking at a moderate pace. **Don't forget to bring your ice axe and crampons.** TRIM YOUR TOENAILS, THIS HIKE IS A DOOZY!!
