rock climb: anchor building workshop - August 21, 2010

The WMC offers COVID conscious opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Participants of all in-person events should bring and wear face coverings, expect social distancing, and changes to our usual practices. To support contact tracing and hands-free signing of the WMC Liability Waiver, online registration is required for all in person WMC events.
Come learn and practice your anchor-building skills. I plan to cover bolt and gear anchors, including various options for equalization and such. For those who already know how to build belay/top-rope anchors, this will be a refresher and workshop for trading tips and tricks. For those who are new to anchor building, this will be a nice introduction, including how to place gear, so you can go practice, practice, practice to develop your skills. Bring all your gear, since you always want to practice with your own gear if possible. $20 fee to help the climbing group purchase new ropes and anchors.
