alta ski swap snowshoe - December 4, 2010

The WMC offers COVID conscious opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Participants of all in-person events should bring and wear face coverings, expect social distancing, and changes to our usual practices. To support contact tracing and hands-free signing of the WMC Liability Waiver, online registration is required for all in person WMC events.
Still looking for some winter gear, boots or a new set of boards? The Alta ski swap is the last one of the year, and often yields some real gems, inccluding some goods that have been, unsuccessfully to several other swaps, at significantly higher prices, but haven't sold. This being the last go round, they are now given a what the heck, lets just get rid of it price, which can make for some fun shopping. The swap, which is held at Our Lady of the Snows community center, starts at 800 am. We figured to throw in our snowshoes and head out, after hitting the swap, at nine for the grand loop up Grizzly Gulch to Twin Lakes Pass, up to Tuscarora, down the ridgeline to Wolverine and then Catherines Pass, finally droping down into Albion basin, and down the road to the cars. Late notice, but I figured if anyone was interested in the swap you could catch that, and if not you could meet us there at nine and go snowshoeing.
