mount olympus yak tracks hike - February 20, 2010

The WMC offers COVID conscious opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Participants of all in-person events should bring and wear face coverings, expect social distancing, and changes to our usual practices. To support contact tracing and hands-free signing of the WMC Liability Waiver, online registration is required for all in person WMC events.
The Mount Olympus trail gets a lot of traffic, so some or all of the route to the saddle can be well-packed ice if it has been a few days since the last snow storm. Depending on conditions, this hike could be anything from a MOD to an MSD. Some years the group makes the peak, some times it's no fun after blister hill. Yak tracks or some variation of lightly studded footwear will be necessary.
