social: hike, potluck bbq picnic and sing-a-long - June 27, 2010
June 27 SUNDAY - HIKE, BBQ Picnic and SING-A-LONG. The planned hike is rated NTD. A Sunday evening trifecta located up cool Mill Creek Canyon on one of the longest days of the year. Those interested in the hike will meet at 5:30 p.m. at The Terraces (about 4 miles up Mill Creek on the right), hike for about an hour and half, and then regroup at the picnic site. Non-hikers join us at 7:00 p.m. and we'll have some coals going for a BBQ. Bring your own BBQ meats or sandwiches and something to share ( salads, sides or desserts) with 4 to 6 others. BYOB. Following the picnic we'll have a campfire Sing-A-Long. Acoustic instruments are welcome. Picnic area closes at 10 so we will be time limited. There is a small charge for vehicle access to Mill Creek Canyon. For those who wish to car pool please let us know and we'll select a location and time and add the information to this notice in the on-line Activity Calendar and also include it in an email update.
