rock climb: west slabs - September 18, 2010

Come out for a Saturday climb of the West Slabs of Mt Olympus. I plan to simul-climb the slabs, again, but others are welcome to do it as belayed pitches. There is ~1200'+ vertical climbing; the first 300' is up to 5.6 (depending on route) and the rest is no more than 5.4. The entire face can be climbed at 5.4 or easier, and is a popular solo. We plan to head up the climbs, and possibly to the north summit of Olympus, depending on time. Plan for an all-day alpine adventure, and bring your own ropes and gear. If you are not showing up as a team, make sure to contact the coordinator to find out if there is space on a team with a trad leader.
