road bike: friday ride in april: the wasatch front - April 1, 2011
I decided we should have a series of Wasatch Frontside Friday rides in April in anticipation of the famous Backside Friday rides that will begin in May. April is a nice month for riding in the Salt Lake Valley. The rides will be fairly gentle to start the season out. Not too hilly, not too long: mostly 20-30 miles or so. This Friday's ride will start from the former elementary school parking lot across from my house (see address below). The rides for the remaining weeks will be announced via the WMC bike email list. If you want to come but are not on the list, send me an email and I'll add you to the notice when I send it out. These will be social rides: we'll regroup several times along to way to socialize, snack and rehydrate, so you'll want to bring water, snacks and a nice smile. You may also want to bring money in case we decide to stop for treats or whatever along the way. Please call or check your email the morning of the ride in case the weather is iffy and we need to cancel. Note: These rides will only be listed here on the online calendar; they did not make it into the Rambler.
