mount olympus winter hike - February 19, 2011
The Mount Olympus trail gets a lot of traffic, so some or all of the route can be well-packed if it has been a few days since the last snow storm. Depending on conditions, this hike could be anything from a MOD to an MSD. Some years the group makes the peak, some times it's no fun by blister hill. Micro-spikes, yak tracks or some variation of lightly studded footwear will be necessary. Expect a slow to moderate pace.
