rei trail maintenance national trails day - June 4, 2011
Celebrate National Trails Day by volunteering! REI is looking for 100 vigorous volunteers for trails maintenance (must be 16yrs or older) or invasive weed removal (must be 13yrs or older). Join forces with Cottonwood Canyons Foundation, US Forest Service, Salt Lake City Watershed, REI SLC and other hard-working volunteers to help improve this popular trail. All necessary tools will be provided, as well as a light breakfast, lunch and a free REI T-shirt to all participants (while supplies last). Pre-registration is required by calling at 801-466-6411, emailing plic@xmission.com or stopping by the Public Lands Information Center kiosk just inside REI SLC between 11-5 Monday- Friday. Participants must sign all waivers before participating. Participants must be in good physical health to participate. Minors must have an adult present. Additional location details, instructions and parking information will be mailed to registered participants.
