surprise gourmet birthday party day hike - October 23, 2011
Shhh! Don't tell Norm Pobanz, but we're going to have a surprise gourmet hike to Greens Basin for his 80th Birthday this Sunday! Here's the plan: Steve Baker's Sunday hiking group is going to meet at 9:30 with Norm for a hike to Green's Basin, but WE are going to head up there a half hour earlier to set up a Gourmet Birthday Party Lunch Spread and be waiting for him! Norm is one of the most amazing hikers in the club, still going strong at 80 and it would be GREAT is we could get as many of his friends as possible to help him celebrate! Bring party clothes, bring a gourmet lunch dish to share, and definitely bring Norm a birthday card! But Shhhh, don't let on to him that we're planning this! Spread the news to any of his friends who might not be on the WMC-Hike list! After the party, you can continue to hike if this was not a long enough day.
