road bike: wasatch wednesdays: henefer -echo canyon -coalville -wanship - September 7, 2011

Another Wasatch Wednesdays backside ride (We'll return to the Wasatch Front as the weather gets cooler). Once again, I've taken parts of two or three other rides we've done in the area and stuffed them together, throwing in another twist or two. The main twist is our starting point: Henefer. We'll start at Memorial Park and do a very nice little loop around the Henefer area, then ride to Echo and up Echo Canyon and back. Next we'll ride to Coalville and on to Wanship. We'll loop back to Coalville, and return past Echo and back to Henefer. This allows us a nice little advantage on the return trip: it is ever so slightly downhill and if there is any wind, it is highly likely it will be a tailwind. Makes for a very pleasant return ride. This is another ride for everyone: no long steep climbs, plus you can adjust the mileage you ride to suite your taste by turning around wherever you want on the Echo Canyon leg and by shortening the Coalville-Wanship loop. I'll have maps and cue sheets that will show you how to do that if you want to. Once again, this ride is social: ride at your own pace but we'll stop to regroup a few times along the way.
