hike lone peak cirque via cherry canyon - July 28, 2012
With the EXT cancelled this weekend, we need someplace challenging to go. The Cherry Canyon route to the Lone Peak Cirque is steeeeeep and long, with a couple of stream crossings, through field after field of wildflowers, and passing by the outlaw cabin. Plan on a 12-hour day and a moderate pace. The summit is optional depending on time, weather, and the mood of the group.
