road bike: heber valley ride - June 16, 2012

It's our annual Heber Valley ride. Enjoy a nice ride throughout this beautiful valley with optional side legs up Lake Creek, the Midway cemetery, and Soldier Hollow. As usual, this will be a social ride: ride at your own pace between stops, but we will regroup several times along the way. If we have lots of riders, we may want to split into groups, depending on rider preferences: one group that wants to ride fairly fast and doesn't want to regroup much or wait very long at regrouping spots; one that likes to regroup and socialize until everyone is together again, and one that wants to do a shorter version of the ride. There are route options from 35 to 50 miles. The complete ride is 50 miles. Skipping the Lake Creek, Midway cemetery and Soldier Hollow side legs cuts out most of the climbing and shortens the ride to about 40 miles. Skipping the Center Creek, Heber cemetery, Wasatch Mountain State Park and Charleston jogs saves another 5 miles.
