road bike: lincoln beach - goshen canyon loop - June 20, 2012

Looks like the weather gods will be nice to us today: highs only in the low to mid 80s; still, we'll meet at 8:45am and start riding by 9:00am so we can get done by early afternoon. We'll start from an out-of-the-way spot on the Lincoln Beach road and ride around West Mountain along the shore of Utah Lake to Genola, then on to Goshen and up Goshen Canyon to Mona. From there, we'll follow the frontage road to Santaquin and finish with a sweet downhill ride through fruit orchards back to the start. This is a great ride. If you haven't done this one before, don't miss it. There will be some small stores along the way to get snacks and water, etc. We'll pass the Red Barn in Santaquin, too, where we can get great apple cider, fudge, or lots of other goodies if we want. This will be a social ride: ride at your own pace between stops, but we will regroup a few times along the way. Bring money for snacks or lunch.
