hike: provo crown run *updated* - March 10, 2012

Conditions are finally settling down and the weather is looking good leading up to and including Saturday. Provided the trend continues I'll be making a run at the four peaks at the back of Provo Canyon (Shingle Mill/Freedom/East and West Provo) - two of which top out over 11,000 ft. The hike up to Cascade Saddle where we hit the ridge is strenuous, and there will be significant elevation loss and gain on the ridge. I'm planning for twelve hours and a pre-dawn start. This is a beautiful hike involving class 3 scrambles -- well worth the efforts of the intrepid!
