trappers loop/ogden valley road bike - May 25, 2012
Rough n' Ready Roadies... Ref. Friday Wasatch backside, May 25, Trappers' Loop/Ogden Valley ride. Those desiring to summit Trappers' Loop (twice) meet at the Country Store/Texaco Stn in Mountain Green (up Weber Canyon to first exit, thence about a mile to the store) at 9:15, depart by 9:30. Those desiring Ogden Valley only, go on over Trappers, Hwy 167, to the stop sign, and thence right, Hwy 39, a few hundred yards to Chris' Restaraunt about, 10:15. Ogden Valley ride will be about 30 miles, Trappers' Loop adds 9. (approx 4.5 up and same down, grade 7% - 8%). This ride, BTW, for those not familiar, with the exception of Trappers' Loop, is a Robert Turner tested and approved ride. Riding in crummy weather in Ogden Valley is no fun - wind, snow, sleet, - can be normal in May. The week looks iffy. Let's watch the report Thursday evening and go from there.
