day hike mt. olympus - May 6, 2012

An early start should beat the heat on this old favorite. The glacier lilies may already be gone, but we probably will see other early season wildflowers, maybe hawks, eagles, and even an early rattlesnack. Bring plenty of water and snacks, as well as an extra jacket, and plan on 6 - 7 hours for this hike. Trekking poles are recommended. This hike includes some loose rock and exposure. We will start hiking promptly at 7:30 AM. If you have questions, email carol_masheter@hotmail.com .
