road bike: jordan river parkway to bluffdale, return via trax at daybreak - September 5, 2012
Today's ride is something of an adventure. We'll ride from our starting point to the Jordan River Parkway at 1700 S and follow it all the way to its end in Bluffdale around 15500 S. We'll have a couple of known detours around gaps in the trail. One of them is very interesting. The pavement is in rough shape, but the shade and scenery are very nice. We'll also have at least one detour around a damaged section of the trail that is under reconstruction. The ride features some newly completed sections of trail you've never ridden, and it may include a surprise or two, but I'm trying hard to minimize those. After we get to the trail's end, we'll head for the Trax station at Daybreak for an easy, comfy train ride back to the 3300 S station and a very short bike ride back to the start. Before we hop on Trax, let's have lunch at one of spots in Daybreak.
