service hike solitude area - August 10, 2013
The project involves planting native tree and wildflower plants near the Solitude Ski resort. The project is supported by the Cottonwood Canyons Foundation, Tree Utah, Solitude Ski Resort, National Forest Foundation. The activity is from 7:30 AM to noon. A light breakfast will be offered. Please register at the Public Lands Information Center (email : plic@xmission.com or phone: 801-466-6411. Please wear long pants, boots or other closed toe , sturdy footwear. Please bring work gloves, water, rain gear, sun protection. The meeting place is at the Moonbeam Day Lodge area. Alternatively if any one wants to car pool, I will stop at the 6200 South/Wasatch Blvd. Park and Ride and depart for Solitude at 7:00 AM. The noon completion should allow participants to travel down the BCC road prior to the Tour of Utah Bike event. Another option, is that volunteers can work to 3:30 PM and drive down after the Tour of Utah clears out.
