road bike: ruth'b b q social ride - August 22, 2013
Let's bring the roadies together. Join this social ride from Sugar House park through the charming and classy streets in the 15th and 15th (King's English Bookshop), Princeton, Harvard, Yale area, through Bonneville Golf course past the zoo and up Emigration Canyon (going to the Little Mountain viewpoint is optional). Then it's back to Ruth's Diner for their BBQ and entertainment on the terrace. Drink a beer or order dinner and enjoy good company. Ruth's will provide bike locks in exchange for whatever you have for collateral. Ride back mostly downhill after the BBQ (about 9-10 miles). Bring a headlight and taillight for the ride back, since it will probably be well past sunset. If you can't meet us at the start, join us anywhere along the route (click on the link to the map to see where we're going). Sallie is a first time organizer, so be extra nice to her. Your biking director plans to assist.
