nordic ski tour-towards soapstone bench - February 3, 2013
We will park along the Mirror Lake Highway at the turnoff for Pine Valley, Go down to the Provo river, cross it, cross a sagebrush flat toward the hills, then strike an old jeep trail that does a rising traverse up to the top of Soapstone bench. Whether we actually make to the top depends on snow conditions, previous tracks, how many people are willing to help break trail, etc.
