ski meeting/social: free uac avalanche awareness talk

This multi-media talk has an exciting 15-minute video on avalanches plus a 1/2hr. PowerPoint on how to stay alive in avalanche terrain including terrain, snow stability, safe travel and rescue. Subjects include: avalanche rescue, how avalanches work, reading avalanche terrain, obvious clues to instability, avalanche weather, safe travel practices and essential equipment. This talk is presented by the staff of the Utah Avalanche Center, who are some of the foremost avalanche experts in the country. For those who attend Kirkhams will be offering a 20% coupon for all avalanche related equipment good for 1 week from the date of the clinic.
