day hike: yellow fork - January 6, 2013
This out and back hike is in Salt Lake County's Park up Rose Canyon in the southwest corner of the Salt Lake Valley. Conditions are currently ideal for a Micro-Spike hike in this canyon so please join me if you'd like to experience a new area. Hikers should plan on hiking up a gentle grade for about one-hour. Be sure to bring a snack for a lunch break at the turn-around point. Also, if Santa brought you some new snowshoes for Christmas, this is an ideal trek to try them out so please join us if you'd rather shoe. Meet Elliott (801-969-2846), at the 7200 South park and ride located immediately west of McDonalds on the east side of I-15 to carpool or caravan, at 9:00am. The park and ride is located on the south side of 7200 South.
