No sooner did we get our boating gear cleaned and stored in the shed and it's time to start thinking about the upcoming 2013 season. This meeting is our time to get acquainted, discuss rivers, trips, trip organizing, new ideas and, most important, to fill out and submit permit applications to obtain a share of the river permits. All interested WMC members are invited. Due to popular (over)demand, some of the rivers we enjoy have limited access through a permit lottery system. Some permits are paper applications. We will have paper permit applications for you to complete with envelopes and postage for: Cataract, Yampa/Ladore/Split Mtn, Rogue, and San Juan. You can print and fill out paper applications now by logging into the WMC web site, then going to the boating website to access the permit links. Also bring a checkbook as paper applications can have a fee up to $15. Other river permits are completed on-line. On-line applications are for: Desolation/Grey, Main Salmon/Middle Fork Salmon/Selway/Hell's Canyon and Salt River. Rocky Mountain Pizza has wi-fi available, so please bring your PC's to access and complete the on-line applications. These also have an application fee so bring your credit card. And please consider sharing your PC's with those who don't bring one. You can also fill out on-line applications now by logging into the WMC web site, then going to the boating website to access the permit links. Help will be available for selecting launch dates and any for other questions.
