training - shelter building / winter camping - March 2, 2013
3 - 4 hours at Spruces Camp Ground Dress for the cold with not a lot of activity compared to snowshoe/hike. Bring a shovel, avalanche style is perfect - Shelter building Types of shelters:- Igloo (made from form)- Igloo made from cutting blocks - Quinzee - Ice Cave- Trench (you can throw pack and branches on the roof to insulate) Winter camping / considerations - Robert Ging will be instructing, I am simply helping & posting this.
