google trekker press release and road bike ride around heber valley - May 13, 2013

Monday's going to be lovely for a bike ride. Let's join Lt. Governor Greg Bell, Deer Creek State Park managers and Google to kick-off the Google Trekker in Utah, and then go for a lovely bike ride in the Heber Valley. The Google Trekker is Google's Streetview camera in a backpack. The Trekker uses Google Maps' Streetview to let anyone, anywhere wander off the beaten path to take in local and national treasures like the Grand Canyon after today's press conference, Deer Creek State Park. Immediately following a 10 a.m. news conference, Google Trekker operators will map the park's 7.5-mile trail on the western hillside of Deer Creek Reservoir and when we get bored watching them, we'll go ride. The Deer Creek State Park - Solider Hollow trailhead is Located just southwest of Tate Barn on Stringtown Road in Midway. Contact me if you want to set up a carpool from SLC or from Park City.
