road bike: mystic hot springs

This biking weekend showcases the wonderful bicycling available in the greater Richfield area in central Utah. Our plan is to car camp at Mystic Hot Springs on Friday and Saturday night with road rides on Saturday and Sunday. Mystic Hot Springs is a natural warm spring located southeast of Richfield in Monroe, Utah. (For details about Mystic Hot Springs go to www.mystichotsprings.com.) On Saturday, riders will have the option of either a 61 or 81 mile ride. Both options include an easy spin up Clear Creek Canyon (1,375' over 14 miles), and an out-and-back ride along the scenic Sevier River bike path to Big Rock Candy Mountain - where we'll stop for lunch at a cafe. On Sunday, our plan will be to ride a shorter course in the area, before breaking camp. I've negotiated a group rate of $15 per person per night for tent camping (provided we have a minimum of 5 participants; otherwise cost will be $20 per person per night) which everyone needs to pay in-person. Our camp agenda is to do individual cooking, and enjoy a social-happy-hour Saturday night in camp - so bring goodies to share; and, be sure to bring your swimsuit. Meet Elliott (801-969-2846) at Mystic Hot Springs, located at 375 East 100 North, in Monroe. Saturday's ride will start at 9:00am. Please send me an email if you plan on doing this ride.
