road bike: zoo - u loop - September 18, 2013
Let's do my Zoo-U loop today. It goes east by the zoo, through the university and along the avenues to the beginning of City Creek Canyon. We can stop there and make a decision: if we're feeling ambitious, we can ride up City Creek to the water treatment plant and back for an additional 7 miles round-trip and 600 hundred feet of climbing, or even all the way to the top (about 12 miles and 1400 feet); if not, we'll just go down through Memory Grove and on south to Artesian Well Park where we can fill our water bottles with delicious, superior water. From there, we'll head back through Liberty Park. This is a social ride: ride at your own pace but we'll stop to regroup a few times along the way. The ride is probably an NTD+ if we don't go up City Creek. If we do, it will be about a MOD- or MOD, depending how far up we go.
