hike and snowshoe and crampon to lone peak - January 25, 2014
This is the annual winter attempt at one of the true Wasatch Wonders. Typically this adventure requires the use of microspikes, snowshoes, crampons and ice axe. Plan for an early start and a finish before sunset. Helmets are optional; this is usually a true mountaineering experience. This is NOT the time to make your first attempt at climbing Lone Peak! :) Registration with the organizer is required; email preferred. Weather conditions and snow conditions may require a postponement. The leader will determine such a change.
