snowshoe - west uintas, norway flats road - January 25, 2014
The unplowed Norway Flats road is off of the Mirror Lake Highway (MLH) about 9 miles from Kamas. The tour involves a not too difficult climb of about 1000 ft over a 3 mile one way distance. Beautiful forest scenery and interesting views of the Wasatch to the west. The drive to the trailhead is about 1.5 hours. There is a MLH fee of $6.00 per vehicle. Energetic dogs and teenagers are welcome. I also suggest that we stop in Kamas or Park City for some food on the way back. Lets plan to meet at 8:00 am for a 8:15 departure.
