day hike: shoreline trail

This 5.5 mile event is an out and back trek along the northern shoreline on Antelope Island. Beginning from Bridger Bay, we'll hike around beneath Buffalo Point to While Rock Bay, and then return. The terrain is easy flat to rolling. Antelope Island has a very interesting geologic composition and this hike will showcase a snippet; also, it is common to see wildlife to include buffalo on this hike. This early season adventure should avoid pesky micro fauna, but everyone should bring bug spray just in case. Meet Elliott (801-969-2846) at the Council Hall parking lot located across from the State Capitol building on 300 North at 9:00am to carpool or caravan to the trailhead.
