alpine ski tour: in the wasatch - December 13, 2015
Update...........Catherine's Pass starting on the summer road at Alta then on to Point Supreme and ski So Long meadow.Let's do it, the conditions are not great but a day out in the Wasatch is always great....... Organizer's choice pending snow and weather conditions. More details will be announced a few days before the scheduled trip and finalized the evening before, based on avalanche and weather forecast. We will climb about 3500 feet vertical and will be in the backcountry for around 5 hours. We will have a plan for the day and will adjust tempo and number of laps according to the group fitness and enthusiasm. You need to have the backcountry gear and skills to be proficient using your beacon, shovel, and probe. You must also have good downhill skills in a range of conditions.
