white water on the sevier - June 12, 2015
This is a short section of class 2 and 3 whitewater on a 60 ft per mile drop- its not super hard, but kind of busy, you need to stay awake, its not just a float trip, its for experienced paddlers. Best suited for 1 or 2 man duckies, though we could take a small paddle boat if there were enough interest and someone to captain it. Helmets will be required, it is shallow and rocky. We would do it twice on saturday, and then once more sunday, perhaps playing some musical boats. Club members, and long time boaters Lauara and Max Snyder live nearby, and have graciously invited us to camp our tents in their yard. We would drive down friday after work, and come home sunday evening. The club has 2 two man and 2 one man duckies, reserve yours quickly if you don't have your own. We will have a group BBQ saturday night, but you are on your own for breakfast and lunches. We will be making food assignments for the BBQ. Group size will be limited to 12. While most expenses will be on your own, there will be a 10$ nonrefundable deposit to get on the trip.
