nordic ski tour/sr65 - January 22, 2016
SR65 starts out gradual and steepens as it winds up to Big Mountain. The road passes a historical pony express station and follows the old Donner/Reed and Mormon trails through oak/maple stands and aspen. During heavy winters elk are abundant on the adjacent hillsides. This road is groomed by volunteers and no fee required.
