rock climb - red slab - rock canyon - provo - March 20, 2016

Welcome back to the outdoor climbing season. Last Sunday I climbed in lower Rock Canyon above the BYU campus. The weather was ideal, no crowds, and short approaches. Red slab is the closest crag to the Rock Canyon parking lot and has ten routes 5.6 to 5.11 but mostly at the easier end of the spectrum. Many other crags with more variety are adjacent to or are a couple minutes from Red Slab. I'll bring at least three ropes and lead to set up some top ropes. All participants are required to wear a helmet. Please RSVP if you plan to attend.

Meeting Place:	I-15 exit at 800 N in Orem to N. Temple Drive to Rock Canyon. From the parking area, it will be the first rock on the right. You will see a water tank on your left. Red Slab is on the south side of the road. Total approach is about 10 minutes.
