leisurely hike millcreek canyon north ridge loop. - March 5, 2016
This is a short hike, about 3 miles with 600 ft elevation, at the mouth of Millcreek Canyon with beautiful views of the valley. We will follow a good trail to the ridge. The return part of the loop is steep in places on a not well-defined trail. We will stop for a snack at the pipeline overlook before returning to the cars. This hike is being posted to the Rambler the first of February and at this time of year it is difficult to tell what trail conditions will be like. Bring traction devices such as yak tracks, micro spikes, etc. just in case. We will meet at the parking area just west of REI at 3285 E. 3300 S. at 8:45 am to carpool to the start of the hike.
