road bike: bear river bird refuge - May 13, 2016
The WMC offers COVID conscious opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Participants of all in-person events should bring and wear face coverings, expect social distancing, and changes to our usual practices. To support contact tracing and hands-free signing of the WMC Liability Waiver, online registration is required for all in person WMC events. The Bird Refuge is active as birds migrate back from the south and make their nests. Let's bike this popular birding route amidst the pristine wetlands of the Bear River Bird Refuge. If we are lucky, we'll see some baby birds making their debut. We'll ride to the end of the pavement on a low-traffic road with nice pavement. All ability levels are welcome. Ride at your own pace. This is an out and back, without any turns. We'll regroup in the picnic area at the end of the pavement. Please put my cell phone number into your cell phone for contingencies. After the ride, we can eat Italian at Rovali's at 174 25th Street in Ogden (near Roosters). Bring bug spray, if you are concerned about bugs. Wheels roll 10:15am.
