road bike: zoo/wasatch blvd/danish rd - November 3, 2016

The weather forecast for Thursday looks good: sunny with a high around 60. Let's go on a bike ride! We will just wait for it to warm up a bit before we start. The ride I have in mind is a new one for me. First it goes north to the zoo, then south via Parley's crossing to Wasatch Blvd and on down to the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon. From there it continues south using streets on the east side of Wasatch Blvd I haven't ridden before. This new section looks like it climbs at first for about a mile at a 5% average grade, so I hope I don't end up sorry that I did it :-). The ride returns via Danish Rd and a series of other roads most of us are familiar with. That part is almost all downhill or flat, thank goodness! This will be a social ride, so we will regroup a few times along the way to make sure no one gets lost and no one gets left behind.
