hike -organizers choice- update information - September 25, 2016

This is for anyone that still has energy following the multisport hoedown earlier this weekend. We will find a good place to hike in the Tri canyon area. The leaves should be starting to show autumn colors. If you are interested in this hike, check the web site calendar as the hike date approaches. I may post some hike information. Addition Information: The Wasatch Mountain Club and the U.S. Forest Service is establishing an agreement where the Wasatch Mountain Club does volunteer trail work in the Wasatch National Forest -Salt Laker Ranger District. If weather and trail conditions permit, I would like this hike to be a part of this agreement. There is a section of the Mill B North trail that is very over grown with willow brush. I propose that we hike to this overgrown area and remove the overgrowth. This section is about 2.5 miles from the trailhead. In addition to the normal 10 Es, participants should bring work gloves, eye protection and wear long pants. If you would like to bring your loppers and pruners, please bring them. Interested participants should email me and indicate if you are able to bring loppers and/or pruners. That will help to see if we need to borrow tools from the Forest service. Any questions, please contact me. Thank you for your interest in this effort to help the trail.
