day hike - lake blanche and beyond - update - July 23, 2017

The WMC offers COVID conscious opportunities to enjoy the outdoors. Participants of all in-person events should bring and wear face coverings, expect social distancing, and changes to our usual practices. To support contact tracing and hands-free signing of the WMC Liability Waiver, online registration is required for all in person WMC events.
We will hike to Lake Blanch and then try to find "an historic trail" which goes toward the Mineral Fork ridge. Since I have never hiked on the historic trail, this hike will be exploratory. The total distance would be approximately 9 miles. The estimated vertical gain is 3,500 ft. But the distance and vertical gain will depend on how far the group wants to continue. We will meet at the 6200 South /Wasatch Park and Ride at 7:30 am (prompt departure).
