service hike - national trails day - June 3, 2017
The Wasatch Mountain Club will continue to support and participate at the National Trails Day event. This years project will likely involve woking on the new Bonneville Shoreline trail section that will link the Mount Olympus trail to the Heughs Canyon trail. Participants need to register with the Cotton wood Canyons Foundation- email :volunteer@cottonwoodcanyons.org. Information about the exact time and meeting place will be emailed to the participants. In addition to water and the 10 Es, participants should wear long pants, sturdy closed toe footwear, protective eyewear, and gloves. Participants should expect a hike of 1-2 miles (one way) and a physically active opportunity. A light breakfast and lunch will be offered.
