rock climb - purple wall - lcc cancelled due to weather rolling in - May 24, 2017

Located in the Maybird Slide Area of Little Cottonwood, this crag is a bit of an approach. The Purple Wall sports several bolted routes (mostly 5.9 and 5.10) on juggy, overhanging quartz monzonite. The area's name is likely derived from the unique purple varnish in sections of the rock. The wall is east-facing and is in the shade after 2pm. All participants are required to wear a helmet.
